01Install

One setup file

1. Download MuonInsightSetup.exe from the latest release.
2. Run it and follow the prompts. It installs to %ProgramFiles%\Muonix Labs\Muon Insight.
3. Start Muon Insight from the Start menu and approve the elevation prompt.

The same file upgrades an existing install and removes the app. Deploying to many computers? See For IT admins and the deployment guide.

System requirements

Windows

Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit

.NET Framework

4.8, used by the setup program. Already included in Windows 10 version 1903 and later, and in Windows 11

PowerShell

Windows PowerShell 5.1, built into Windows 10 and 11. PowerShell 7 also works

Permissions

Administrator rights. The app asks for elevation when it starts

Disk space

About 70 MB for the app, plus room for logs and reports

Memory

No extra requirement beyond Windows itself

Remote computers

WinRM enabled on the remote computer, port 5985 (HTTP) or 5986 (HTTPS) reachable, and an account allowed to connect

Some modules

Need their own tools, e.g. RSAT for the Active Directory OU move, the Configuration Manager client for SCCM actions, or Google Chrome for the Chrome modules

Windows on ARM hasn't been tested yet.
